Heavy duty “E” series sets with 1” pilot

With the use of auxillary pilots, hole may drilled up to 3” in diameter in steel, while maintaining optimum rigidity at low horsepower consumption. Drill first pilot hole with a conventional 1” twist drill. If desired finish hole is 2” or less, insert finish size blade and drill hole to size. If desired finish hole is over 2” but 2-1/2” or less, insert 2” blade into holder and enlarge hole to 2”, insert finish size blade into holder, attach 2” auxiliary pilot and drill hole to size, if desired finish hole is over 2-1/2”, insert 2-1/2” blade. Attach 2” auxiliary pilot and enlarge hole to 2-1/2” insert finish size blade, attach 2-1/2” anxiliary pilot and drill hole to size. Note: when drilling certain non-ferrous metal it may be possible to drill up to 3” hole in one pass without the use of pilots.

One pilot holder, straight shank. One 1” high speed twist drill, straight shank. One 2” auxiliary pilot, one 2-1/2” auxiliary pilot. One hex wrench, ten high speed steel size “e” heavy duty blades; one each of 1-1/4”, 1-3/8”, 1-1/2”, 1-5/8”, 1-3/4”, 2”, 2-1/4”, 2-1/2”, 2-3/4”, and 3”
